Original About Page written mid-July 2009 ...
Hi, I'm your host Neil C. Obremski. You may have seen me in such films as The Woodsman or Rock and Roll Marathon. No? Well, it's worth a try! I'm a fan of a lot of people, places, and things. Verbs catch my fancy too, but currently this site is dedicated to nouns of the human type: "celebrities" (if you'll pardon the over-used parlance of our times). The pages nestled under this domain represent a collective experiment based on fun Turk HIT's to bring something a bit new to the world wide web.
What you see (or will, once I get rolling) is a mere shadow of the future stuffed precariously into my oversized noggin. Eventually FanSiter will merge with Forust, my initial 2009 summer project, so that anyone can create and extend any tribute page for our heroes, idols, or objectified persons of our fancy -- without requiring registration or logins of any kind! That, my dear reader, is an exciting story for another day (one I hope to expound upon within a year's time) and you'll have to settle for the mostly-static content in the meantime.
The project (and domain name) fansiteR is an abbreviated combination of "fansite" + "creator", because it's both a hosted platform for fan sites and a tool to create them. Eventually you too will have access to the tools I keep hidden in my laboratory!
