Yesterday's Children
This is the 23rd post in our Movie of the Week series.

Yesterday's Children was released in October of 2000.The movie is a made-for-TV rendition of the book Across Time and Death: A Mother's Search for her Past Life Children by Jenny Cockell. The book tells the story of how Jenny would have dreams and memories of the life of a woman who died two decades before she was born and left behind 8 young children. Jenny eventually found those children and they have accepted her as their birth mother.

Yesterday's Children tells the same story with Jane Seymour playing the title role. The movie tells the story of Jenny Cole who lives with her husband and son in middle America. One day Jenny starts having dreams of Ireland and when she confides in her mother she discovers that she often drew pictures of the same place as a child. It is then that she decides to take a trip to Ireland and discover just who was Mary Sutton and why she keeps having memories of her life.

The movie has not received much attention as a television movie but it did win a Primetime Emmy for music and lyrics.
