This is the 4th post in our Author of the Week series.
Phyllis Cast, or P.C. Cast was born in Watseka, Illinois. She spent her childhood moving back and forth between Illinois and Oklahoma. After high school she joined the United States Air Force. After the Air Force she decided to become an English teacher.
P.C. published her first book in 2001, Divine by Mistake (Goddess by Mistake). The book became the first in her Partholon series which become widely popular. Divine by Mistake won the Prism, Hot Medallion, and Laurel Wreath Awards. It tells the story of and English teacher who gets sucked into a fantasy world and mistaken for a Goddess. The book is very sexy with some fantasy and romance mixed in.
P.C. also writes the Goddess Summoning Series which she started in 2003. The series is all about women who are transformed by their willingness to believe in the feminine divine that makes all women magical.
She is also known for her House of Night series which she writes with her daughter. Unlike her previous novels this book is written as a YA and is about a vampire finishing school.
