ET for the Atari

E.T. the Extra Terrestrial (1982 for the Atari 2600)
This is the forty-forth post in our Game of the Day series.

It's nice to see someone else enjoyed the Extra Terrestrial on the Atari 2600.

In this game, E.T. was the main character and you had to try to get him home. He collected Reeses Pieces for power and different Egyptian symbols. I remember playing this game over and over again as a kid, with my sisters. We all worked together to try to solve the game. If you died, you had to restart from the beginning. I learned for the first time what an Ankh was. It reminds me of getting along with my sisters and playing with our first game station.


I also liked playing this even though it was extremely hard and I never really got anywhere. Here's a video of the gameplay:
