Dirty Work

Dirty Work Movie Poster

This is the 13th post in our Movie of the Week series.

This 1998 comedy stars Norm Macdonald and Artie Lange and was actually directed by Bob Saget. Despite it's loyal following the movie has received terrible reviews by all. In fact when a fan asked Artie Lange to sign his DVD copy of Dirty Work, Artie Lange not only signed it but paid the fan ten bucks saying "you don't see Ben Affleck doing that for Gigli."

The movie centers around Mitch (Norm Macdonald) and his best friend Sam (Artie Lange). When the pair find out that Sam's father will die if they cannot come up with enough money to pay for his surgery, they hatch a scheme to make money doing what they do best: pranks. They start up a business called Dirty Work in which they would get revenge on anyone for anyone. But things go too far when they are tricked into having a building condemned. The building happens to be the home of a number of people including Mitch's girlfriend's grandmother, so the pair set off to pull off their biggest revenge scheme yet.
