Man V Food made its debut on the Travel Channel on December 3, 2008. The series is a food reality show in which the show’s host, Adam Richman takes on extreme eating challenges from all over the U.S. When the show premiered it earned it received the highest ratings of any new debut on the Travel Channel.
Adam Richman is the likable host, whose open and playfully funny manner made him an instant hit with viewers and critics alike. When watching the show you cannot help but root for him as he takes on challenges from eating large amounts of food to insanely spicy food. But the eating challenge does not up the entire episode as Adam will take a tour of the city and find other great eats along the way.
Season 2 recently premiered on August 5, 2009 and Adam has already taken the lead with 3 wins for man and only 1 for food as of the fourth episode of the season. Adam came out ahead for Season 1 with 11 wins for man and only 7 wins for food.
